I haven’t used either of them but from what I have heard, read and seen people use, the Bliss is more popular out of the two.
I’ve tried the hammock thing but it’s just not for me. I like sleeping on something more firm and I’m a side sleeper who moves around a lot. I find sleeping on a pad in a tent to be a more comfortable option for me.
Backpacking with a hammock can be a bit of a pain as well. First you need two trees or points to hang the hammock and that can limit you. Second, if you need to set up for the rain it’s more work. You need to have a tarp set up to cook, store your pack/gear and just hand out in when it rains. You don’t want to be stuck for who knows how long in a hammock laying there until the weather clears. And I always imagined having a bear or another animal coming up to your hammock while your sleeping. I don’t think that would be fun.
Some people love them, swear by them, and others just don’t. I don’t. But we sometimes bring a small, light weight hammock just for lounging at base camp. That’s all good.
