   One of the best forms of outdoor sleep but it has its limitations in desert applications or areas without many trees.

   Also I tie the rain …
   Also I tie the rain fly to stakes in the ground and then tie the elastic shock cords of the hammock to the ring on the flysheet side lines. That way I only have to undo one line when I pack away. I find it gives the standard size flysheet just the right pitch to shed the rain and also cut out the wind at night.

   I find setting it up so it’s just off the ground by six inches when I’m in it makes it easier to use as a chair and not get wet cooking ( even in hard rain ) Also with less wind being passed under it makes it warmer at night.
